The parable of the gold coin reminds us of what is expected of us from God. God has put his purposes in every one of us, and these are his gifts, talents or whatever you want to call them.

We were not given these gifts to store inside us, just like one of the servants who buried his coin. Rather, we need to use these gifts to enrich the world, bless one another, and bear fruit for the kingdom of God.
People go through life aimlessly and fruitlessly because they have either failed to utilise their gold coin and so multiply it, or because they are ignorant that they even have a gold coin. Either way, any tree that does not bear fruit will be cut off. “And to them who have, more shall be given (Luke chapter 19 verse 26).
These are God’s words, and he will not go back on his words because of anyone’s ignorance.
Now, you need to dig deep within you and find your good coin; use it and bear fruit, so that God may multiply you; this is one of the reasons why you were created.
