Are You Aware of the Power You Have Been Given?

The power in our hands that we neglect.

Exodus 14 verse 15.

The Lord said to Moses, “why do you cry out to me” and then he went ahead to instruct him to tell the people to move forward and for him to hold out the staff over the sea.

Moses had performed amazing wonders with his staff, empowered by God, yet he had not fully understood its significance. How many more times would the Lord use the staff to perform miracles before Moses recognized that it had been given to him for a specific purpose?

I can imagine God’s disappointment when he asked Moses why he was crying out to him instead of taking action.

We are like Moses in many ways. God has granted us dominion over the earth, yet we often behave as if we are unaware of our identity and purpose. We wander for so long, searching for what we have already been given. Living this way is challenging, and I pray that the Lord opens our eyes to recognize the gifts He has bestowed upon us and how we should utilize them, rather than constantly crying out to Him for help.
