Matthew 9:23-25
They laughed at Jesus because He said that the Official’s daughter was not dead, but merely sleeping. The people dismissed Him as foolish through their actions, prompting Jesus to put them out of the room. After they were removed, Jesus raised the girl.
What is the message of this scripture?
1. Jesus did not engage in arguments with those who did not believe in Him, nor did He attempt to explain Himself to them.
2. He chose not to surround Himself with those who lacked faith.
3. Jesus did not perform the miracle in their presence to prove anything; if they didn’t believe, they could not witness it—they would only hear about it later.
Jesus simply put them out!
Their mockery indicated that their energy was negative, and they shouldn’t be allowed to stay.
Now, let me ask you a few questions:
Why are you still entertaining those who constantly mock your dreams?
Why are you trying to convince them of what you are capable of?
What are you trying to prove by keeping them around?
If they don’t believe, they do not deserve any form of audience.
Be like Jesus, our role model: put them out!
Separate yourself from the doubters and mockers, and focus on what you need to do. Let them hear about your success, while they miss the process—because they do not qualify to witness your journey but are allowed to hear about it!
It is biblical to cut off those who do not believe and therefore cannot support you on your life’s journey and purpose!
