A Lamp Unto Thy Feet

God and Wealth ( 1 Chronicles 29:12)

God does not want you to lack; from the beginning, God created man to succeed, dominate, and flourish (Genesis 1:26-28).

All the people God loved who followed Him faithfully were materially successful. Consider figures like Abraham, Isaac (who was called Israel), Joseph, David, and Solomon. God granted each of them the grace to create wealth. However, it’s important to recognize that they all experienced challenging phases in their lives, which ultimately taught them valuable life lessons.

God desires His children to be wealthy. Poverty is not part of God’s plan for humanity. Yet, we often miss out on this blessing for various reasons, including lack of focus, insight, distractions, and the inability to hear and follow God’s guidance. When we pursue paths in life that are not meant for us, we are less likely to achieve financial success. Therefore, let us draw closer to God, seek Him, and be willing to listen to and follow His guidance.

God wants you to be financially successful, as long as you do not allow wealth to corrupt you or take the place of God in your life. God is eager to bless you financially. All you need to do is seek Him, and in doing so, you will receive direction. By seeking God, you will be guided onto the right path of destiny, where your means of acquiring wealth lies. The Word of God says, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things,” referring to wealth, “will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33). The Word of God is true. You must seek God earnestly, remembering that He sees your heart; you cannot deceive Him. God knows those who genuinely seek Him.

As a believer, you should understand that seeking God first leads to success. He will provide you with insight and wisdom to create wealth and favour along the way.
